Where to Request Modoc Records
Current local custody and Sheriff's jail records begin with the County of Modoc Sheriff's Office. The office and Modoc County Jail use the same main contact. The Sheriff's records page directs requesters to submit in person or through the county's NextRequest portal and lists no separate records telephone.

Choose the office by the type and custody stage of the record:
- For a Modoc County booking sheet, jail identification photo, or recent-booking request, use the county booking-record path and the Sheriff's official records portal.
- For a city incident or arrest report created by Alturas Police, contact APD Records at 200 W. North Street, Alturas, CA 96101, or call 530-233-2011.
- For filed charges, hearings, copies, or a disposition, use the Modoc Superior Court Public Case Portal and then follow the clerk's document process.
- For a current or former adult CDCR identification photo, contact CDCR OPEC at opec@cdcr.ca.gov or 916-445-4950.
